The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini

I actually finished this book a long time ago but I didn't have time to go on Blogspot.

Basically if I was Amir....

I definitely changed from when I was a child to an adult. Maybe it was the fact that I used to be a wealthy kid and I became a poor person since the war.  I saw my friend getting raped, for me and of course I feel guilt.  I would have told.  I know that from my age, no body would have blamed me for not stopping them.  But I should have...and maybe take the consequence myself.  But fear get the best out of all of us.

I would be mad at my father after I found out about the lies.  What a hypocrite!  Now after knowing Hassan is my half brother, I would right away save his kid.  But it would be a different situation if I did have my own kids.  This is a complicated good story line.

I don't have much to write on this book.  Maybe it was too complex for me.  I don't remember every event in the book also.  Sorry peeps.

My next book is The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks.  It's a book a won from a contest :)

Shopaholic & Baby by Sophie Kinsella

I'm here sooner than I thought.  So today, I finished it. YAYYYY.  It was a good book.  I think the best out of them all but it wasn't as sad.

Starting off:
Luke wasn't in the book as much I like him to be.  Even though the story line sorta revolved around him.  Anyhow, I got so mad at him for not believing Rebecca about Venetia going after him.  Are guys really that delusional?  Or they just like being chased by the women?  I think it's the second one.  He also find it okay for women to go after married men.  He finds it "hopeless romantic".  Okay, kinda is. If you don't agree with me, read Something Borrowed by Emily Giffin....it's about being the other women and I totally didn't hate her.  Anyhow, Luke was soooo depressed throughout the book.  Actually, he's like depressed through out the series...it seems like it's hard for him to be cheesy..  But that's okay because I was totally charmed anyways. Especially when he winked at Rebecca because they did it that morning....Hahaha.

So that Venetia.  This totally proves that you can't trust very nice women.  Guys admit it: the most innocent looking people are the worse because they use their looks as an advantage to be evil.  But they still go after those girls?  But I guess it's the same for women, isn't it?  We love the bad boy feel too. Anyhow, back to Venetia.  She is quite clever.  But I feel kinda bad for her.  She was in fact deserted by Luke when she got  a pregnancy scare.  Even though Luke had a right to leave, I'm thinking he left in the wrong way (come on, you did see him when he got pissed.  IT'S SO SCARY).  But seriously, women please do not go after a guy when you know he's HAPPILY MARRIED.  Even if they aren't, don't go after them.  Let them come to you.  Even in Something Borrowed, she didn't seduce him.  He seduced her!

I can't remember my favourite part in the book but I loved it all.

Sorry for the two chick lits straight in a row!!!  Well, this is what's next:  The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
It's a serious book...to make up for the girly stuff.  I'll probably finish reading it in 2 weeks.
