Hey guys, since school is here, I won't have time to read many books. I probably read 2 books max per month and less when there are exams coming up with independent student projects. I am so sad because a few weeks ago, I borrowed so many books from my To Read list from the library and I didn't get through all of them, now I have to return them!!! BUT I am glad to report I finally finished The Giver.
I feel the same as Jonas. Not really knowing what I am fit for in the future (career wise). I feel much more scared for him since he's only 12 years. And this world that is dillusional...I imagined everything black and white since there was no colour. And not able to feel romance. Won't life be numb? Then I learned the roles of people. My dad as a nurturer, my mother in law. Okay, that's normal. Than I found out about birth mothers. So sad, they use their vaginas three times and then it's hard labour. They're basically prostitutes. The income is life. Even more creepy how they have to report dreams and feelings. They know how to lie, right? Of course they do. But they are obligated to tell the truth before knowing how to. Like the parents been lying to their kids day. Well, the father as far as I know. He apparently kills newborns....well that's part of his job. So sad how there's a pile of dead babies through the chute. That part made me cringe. And when Jonas met The Giver. I first thought he was a creepy man. But then I understood why he had to touch Jonas's back. What I didn't understand is why The Giver had a daughter. Was it his own blood? Also, who are the birth fathers? Or do they plant eggs? Anyhow, in the end, I was so afriad Gabriel would die. I was praying for that baby. Hope he will be okay in the sequel.
That's all I got out of the book. It was short. Oh one more thing, I really hoped for Fiona to feel things for Jonas. That would give the town a scare. Yup that's it. What I'm reading next is hard to figure out. Probably a chick lit since that's the only available books in my household. The next post will be here in October sometime. Have a good leftover 10 days of September!

love is a many trousered thing from confessions of Georgia Nicolson by Louise Rennison
First, I want to apologize for picking such a chick lit again! Couldn't help it, they are very addicting....in addition, My Sister's Keeper was such heavy weight, I needed some laughs. So...
I absolutely adore Georgia! She is hilarious and really brings out the sneaky selfish in me. I find her very lucky because she has three potential bfs chasing after her. In a way, I find her really dumb and I get really mad at her for it. I understand how she longed for Robbie so long and he suddenly came back so she doesn't know to get with him or not. I found it actually obvious since she had another sex god after her. Um, reject Robbie. Simple. Why? Because he wasn't telling off Lindsay. And Masimo was so kind. But then there's the Hornmeister. He seems nice. and you don't need your lover to be 100% beautiful. Anyways, he gets her want to kiss him. That's enough. So I am on Team Dave the Laugh. Oh, and he saved those twitches at the club.
Ooooh, and Lindsay...what's her problem? And Jas, I don't think she's a true friend, always raining on Georgia's parade. But it's funny how Jas is obsessed with owls. Very Harry Potter of her...and this book is took place in the UK! hahaha. I also think Georgia isn't a true friend either because she uses people around her. But that's like family. One day, you are super nice to your parents because you need something from them later on. So I guess that's okay...
My favourite funny part was when they saw their teacher nudy pants. Just imagining happening to a hated teacher, I will feel like revenge has been fulfilled. Usually revenge to teacher involves me graduating first and doing better in my career than them. Yup that's the plan.
I didn't get much from this book, it was a light read, even though I took so long. Yeah sorry 'bout that even though no one is anticipating the next post.

PS. I promise a serious book will be up next! Probably something light. School soon :S got no time for thick books.
